Last week, the Agora Gourmet community joined forces with local South Australian food and beverage producers and the acclaimed Adelaidian chef Callum Hann for an amusing beverage pairing battle at eleven.
The event marked the launch of Agora Gourmet, a Barossa Valley-based social media and marketplace platform engineered to disintermediate advertising and retailing and to promote and trade world-class produce, at a fair price.

“We launched the new Agora Gourmet app which helps small businesses survive and thrive by rewarding users with free products from the finest artisans.”
Based on the greek concept of “agora”, meaning “a gathering place” or “marketplace”, the app rewards consumers who post pictures of their favourite products with credits that can be exchanged for products from affiliated local producers.
In addition, the Agora marketplace carefully curates local products to offer high-quality healthy and sustainable products at a fair price.
Amazing local producers joined the evening: Barossa Valley Brewing, Seppeltsfield Road Distillery, Cooper Burns Wines, Barossa Fine Foods, Cosi’s Lamb, Woodside Cheese Wrights.
